ALBERTA OPEN CHAMPIONSHIPS
In ladies singles Central bowlers Andrea Leavitt finished third
in qualifying, but was defeated by fifth place
finisher Nancy Gervais in the stepladder.
Nancy won three games on the ladder, but lost to the
top singles qualifier Tara Seitz (South) in
the final.
Derek Home had to beat top singles qualifier
Brad Wilton twice to take the men's title in
an all Calgary final. The second match was
316-303.
Edmonton swept all three team events, with
the Central Mixed team picking up a bronze
medal
